Our Staff include the Minister, Music Director, Administrative Assistant and Custodian.
Our Minister is Reverend Catina G. Martin.
Rev. Catina Green Martin is a pastor and chaplain whose life’s work is grounded in one enduring truth: love transforms. She embraces people with depth, compassion, and authenticity meeting them exactly where they are on life’s unfolding journey. Whether in the pulpit, at the bedside, or walking beside someone through a season of transition, she seeks to embody the love of God in every encounter.
A graduate of Regent University with a Master of Divinity and a concentration in Chaplaincy, Rev. Martin further deepened her pastoral formation through a two-year Clinical Pastoral Education residency at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC. There, she worked closely with patients living with LVADs (Left Ventricular Assist Devices), supporting individuals and families navigating fragile hope, medical complexity, and tremendous resilience.
Today, she serves as a hospice chaplain, guiding patients and families through some of life’s most sacred moments: final transitions, tender goodbyes, and the mysterious threshold between here and eternity. She brings a steady, gentle presence, honoring the truth that while life can be complex and challenging, it remains deeply beautiful at every stage.
In addition to her chaplaincy, Rev. Martin is the Pastor of Belmont Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Roanoke, VA, where her preaching, pastoral care, and heart for community have created a space of welcome, honesty, and spiritual healing.
Rev. Martin invites people to practice compassion with themselves, to honor their own stories, and to trust that grace meets them in every chapter. She finds spiritual meaning in the natural world; especially trees. Their roots, rings, and resilience mirror her own journey and the strength she witnesses in others.
Beyond ministry, she embraces life with joy and curiosity. In her leisure time, she enjoys trying her hand at salsa dancing, cooking nourishing meals, taking road trips, exercising, reading, and relaxing with a good movie or a night at the theater. These rhythms reflect her belief that life: at every phase, life is meant to be lived fully, loved deeply, and received as a gift.
At her core, Rev. Martin is a lover of people, a bearer of hope, and a companion who believes that every life has sacred worth and every story deserves to be held with tenderness.
