Who is Belmont Christian Church?
Belmont Christian Church has served Southeast Roanoke for over 117 years. It began in 1904 with a small group of dedicated people, supported and guided by the Holy Spirit, with the goal of reaching the lost in this area of Roanoke. Beginning in a tent, the church went through difficulties and struggles but continued to grow while having four location changes and five building projects to arrive at their current location, 1101 Jamison Ave. SE.
At Belmont, we are a part of the family and body of Christ. We care for our members through our Shepherding program. Through the years we have helped to care for our community by working with several area groups and organizations. For example, we provide a space for Narcotics Anonymous to meet every Saturday, Sunday evening and Tuesday nights. We are continually looking for ways to connect with and touch the lives of those who live in Southeast Roanoke.
Belmont is continually growing and changing but remaining steadfast in our belief in God, Jesus and salvation. We strive to live out what the Bible teaches to the best of our ability. We realize that we are all sinners with only Christ as our hope of Salvation which is a gift from God through his Holy grace. Come and join us in this glorious journey toward eternal life.
